As project Manager in the Municipal Institute of Planning, I led the studies for spatial analysis, key performance indicators system, and strategic planning to define the very first River Basin Management Program for the municipality of Morelia, home of 850,000 inhabitants.
River Basin Management Program
Environmental social and economic analysis of around 20 river basins in the municipality to enrich the binding long-term planning instruments and water utility plans with an integrated water resource management approach.
Such a Program required the involvement of public and private sectors, such as inhabitants, researchers, industries and governmental agencies.
Comprehensive study – highlighting what activities where most feasible in which areas
Participatory consultations – workshops with governmental agencies, researchers, water utilities, non-profits, industries and citizens.
